Since 1961, Franklin has scored a total of 45 "Top 40" hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She was the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Her stardom began decisively in the 60s when she made what many of us think were her greatest hits.
I Ain't Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)
Chain of Fools (1967)
Louis Armstrong Back in the Day

I will never forget the times we saw her at Lincoln Center when we were teens. This could be more. She is a central link to the gospel scene in all of this--David Ruffin, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke and James Cleveland. Great!!!!!
Great.
