"In January, 1964, Patti LaBelle and the Blue Bells released Rodgers and Hammersteins' classic "You'll Never Walk Alone, which went to #34 on both the Pop and R & B charts. "You'll Never Walk Alone" established LaBelle as one of the most powerful and distinctive vocalists on the 60s scene.
